About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of resident care in a skilled nursing facility. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader passionate about quality care, team development, and daily nursing operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the DON with daily clinical operations and staff management
- Support and supervise nursing staff, including scheduling and coaching
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in audits, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor clinical documentation and resident care outcomes
- Assist with survey readiness and follow-up
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
Requirements
- Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Ohio
- Previous leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
