Responsibilities
- Aid the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the nursing department.
- Address the clinical needs of all residents while fostering positive relationships between residents, families, and staff.
- Facilitate effective communication and maintain a pleasant work environment.
- Maintain, review, and develop clinical policies and procedures.
- Manage staffing needs, schedules, and work assignments.
- Conduct rounds of each nursing unit and perform visual inspections.
- Ensure proper medication administration, handling, storage, and auditing.
- Engage in satisfaction reviews by interviewing families and residents.
Requirements
- Active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts.
- Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, preferably B.S.N.
- CPR certification.
- One (1) year experience as a supervisor in a healthcare facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively and handle personnel, residents, and the public.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and relevant laws and guidelines.
