About the role
The Assistant Director of Justice Related Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the case management program, ensuring high-quality, client-centered services are delivered. They will support the Director in shaping strategy, monitoring outcomes, supporting team development, and maintaining compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide feedback, supervision, and performance appraisals to Case Managers, Certified Peer Specialists, and interns.
- Support the interviewing, hiring processes, and orientation of new JRS staff.
- Aid in the development of JRS case review and staff training.
- Maintain an action plan for each individual served, ensuring timely completion of the highest quality of care.
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance, and availability for overtime as necessary.
- Collaborate with other professionals in cross-service team meetings, agency committees, and collaboration groups.
- Manage and coordinate the program's emergency on-call process, staffing, documentation, and scheduling.
- Assist in the intake process for new referrals and connecting individuals with their JRS case workers.
- Achieve the needed number of billable hours for Case Managers.
- Oversee the disbursement of funds to those served through the JRS program.
- Develop and oversee new program initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Two years of direct work experience in mental health services, with at least one year in justice-related services. Three years of experience, including progression of supervisory responsibilities, is preferred.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the Intercept Model and Justice Related Services, the helping relationship, the recovery model, and basic concepts of therapeutic intervention.
- Skills: Ability to plan, supervise, and direct the work of others, establish and maintain effective working relationships, exercise judgment and discretion, and apply and interpret laws, rules, and policies.
- Physical Demands: Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (up to 20 lbs.), and may require same physical and lifting requirements as an employee who regularly provides direct care.

- Salary: $50,000 - $52,000, with increases negotiated on related work experience and/or education in the field.
