About the role

Be the culinary virtuoso orchestrating a symphony of flavors and impeccable service, ensuring every dining experience is a gastronomic delight. With a passion for innovation and an eye for detail, you'll play a key role in elevating our establishment's reputation. You will plan all aspects of service delivery and food preparation, working directly with the Executive Chef on menu development, cost control, pricing, and successful dish promotion. This role involves seeking innovative methods to develop new cuisine and service standards for the restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing training sessions with management personnel to increase their knowledge and capabilities in food service.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with the team to facilitate communication, goal setting, and attainment.
  • Select, train, schedule, supervise, counsel, and handle administrative functions of managers per established hotel policy, safety, productivity, and performance standards.
  • Work through managers to administer disciplinary action and labor relation issues.
  • Assist managers in ensuring timely and consistent execution of food and beverage service.
  • Handle guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the completion of labor reports, payroll, weekly schedules, and other administrative tasks to meet obligations.
  • Create and adhere to budgetary requirements.
  • Oversee cost control and storeroom functions of the hotel.
  • Learn all food and beverage positions and perform as needed.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or related training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury setting with supervisory responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on departmental and operational needs.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications is required.
