About the role
This position reports to the Executive Director of Food & Beverage and oversees the following direct reports: Outlet Managers, Assistant Outlet Managers, Dining Room Captains, Service Team members (Servers, Bussers, Runners, Bartenders, and Hosts), Managers-in-Training, Food & Beverage Interns, and Seasonal Outlet Leadership (including venues such as the Poolside Café).
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory management, and cost control.
- Manage and motivate a team of staff, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the profitability and reputation of the Food & Beverage department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events and programs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems such as Northstar or similar platforms.
- A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, along with ServSafe and TIPS certifications, or equivalent credentials.

- Experience in a similar role within a private club or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of private event planning and execution.
- Understanding of food and beverage trends and industry best practices.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

The Country Club of Virginia operates on a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evenings, with the possibility of remote work arrangements for certain positions.
