Assistant Director of Education & Enrichment Programs

About the role

Black Rocket is looking for a dynamic leader to join the team. The Assistant Director’s primary role is to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all enrichment and education programs, which include STEM‑focused courses. The company specializes in camps and after‑school programs, operates with a startup‑like culture (laid‑back dress code, outdoor work spaces, work‑from‑home policy, company BBQs, social events), and is based in Freehold, New Jersey, requiring two days per week on‑site with some out‑of‑state travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction and quality goals are met.
• Participate in the development, administration, and operation of nationwide summer enrichment programs.
• Recruit and train teachers.
• Schedule classes.
• Provide customer support through site visits.
• Support sales or curriculum development teams during the off‑season.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience, with at least two years in a supervisory or management position.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
