About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Director of Disability Services to support students in creating an accessible learning environment. This role is part of a larger team that promotes holistic support for academic, social, physical, and mental wellness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state disability laws.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide accommodations and resources to students with disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans for students with disabilities.
- Provide training and consultation to faculty and staff on disability-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to disability services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and four years of progressively responsible relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of disability laws and regulations.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
