About the role

The Assistant Director serves as the operations project manager in the Development Services team within the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE). This position manages incoming requests, coordinates daily processes, and collaborates with internal and external customers on requirements, criteria, and accuracy of the output produced.

Responsibilities

  • Create accurate, segmented lists of constituents to be used in communication and solicitation strategies with the use of various tools and technologies
  • Use project management software to prioritize, track, and manage daily processes, requests, and special projects
  • Manage daily processes for donor receipts, donor statements, and other cyclical data processes
  • Manage constituent data import and update processes between DAE systems
  • Use tools and technologies to diagnose and resolve issues of data accuracy
  • Collaborate with IS on an ad hoc basis for cyclical data import processes
  • Train and manage work study students
  • Communicate with campus partners and off-campus vendors on projects and requirements
  • Aid with documentation on data entry and use of data standards for DAE
  • Aid with user training needs

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience using relational database and/or understanding of non-profit fundraising.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) required
  • Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Microsoft Office, Google applications, and understanding and experience in using fundraising and alumni engagement systems.
