About the role
This position involves the cultivation and solicitation of donors; active, ongoing personal stewardship of supporters; activities that build and enhance relationships between the University and external constituencies; and the development and dissemination of relevant information about the University. This professional will be responsible for soliciting annual fund-level gifts from all donor types. This position will focus on lead annual gifts and the discovery of major gifts.Responsibilities
- Solicit individuals and corporations for cash contributions to Fayetteville State University.
- Propose travel plans for the cultivation and solicitation of gifts and work with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development.
- Show significant willingness to take personal initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Show familiarity with relationship management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Show willingness to travel in Fayetteville and the surrounding region.
Requirements
- A master’s or a bachelor’s degree in any field with one or two years of experience in higher education fundraising, non-profit fundraising, sales, marketing, or other related field.
