About the role
The Assistant Director of Creative Video is responsible for creative messaging through videography regarding East Texas A&M University Athletics with the purpose of promoting Lion Athletics to external and internal constituencies. Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall vision and goals of East Texas A&M Athletics by shaping the digital strategy, to include the development and execution of storytelling, brand-building, fan-engagement, and revenue generating content for distribution across the department's social and digital channels.
- Video production skills, including shooting, editing content for various platforms.
- Collaborates with Assistant Athletics Director for Communications on technological advances which will enhance productivity and production quality.
- Brainstorm, produce and implement creative video content including but not limited to game recaps, short-form social media videos, in-venue videoboard content, GIFs, student-athlete feature stories, recruiting content, etc.
- Capture high quality video & photo content at games, practices, & events for all sports teams at East Texas A&M.
- Use social media to enhance the Lion Athletic brand.
- Oversee archiving and footage management.
- Effective time management skills with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and be a team player.
- Ability to mentor staff and students.
- May include occasional travel to road contests and other special events
- Supervise and assists with scheduling creative staff for event coverage.
- Maintains strong understanding of industry trends and adjusts accordingly with East Texas A&M branding standards.
- Complies and maintains NCAA, Southland Conference, University and Texas A&M System rules and regulations.
- Contributes to the effective team management of all relevant problems, issues and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of related experience in athletics creative content field at a NCAA institution, having worked with multiple sports.
- Expert in Adobe products (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.).
- Expert with social media outlets, including, but not limited to Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
- Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in desktop publishing.
- NCAA Division I experience not required, but encouraged
Pay
Proposed Minimum Salary $4,000.00 monthly
