About the role
The Assistant Director of Creative Media / Football collaborates in the creation of unique content and branding for the Virginia Tech Football program. This role partners in creating high-impact recruiting visuals and dynamic social media content designed to engage prospective student-athletes and elevate the Virginia Tech Football brand. They also help execute a strategic communication plan that enhances recruiting efforts and strengthens the Football program’s digital presence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the creation of unique content and branding for the Virginia Tech Football program.
- Create high-impact recruiting visuals and dynamic social media content.
- Partner in organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
- Supervise and train creative media student interns.
- Manage day-to-day creative materials and ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Organize and execute video production using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations relative to recruiting materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience, or a master's degree.
- Experience with Adobe products including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Previous experience working directly in a recruiting department and managing day-to-day creative materials.
- Experience organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
- Working knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.
Qualifications
- Appropriate knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations pertaining to recruiting & social media.
Skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).

Schedule
Exempt: Not eligible for overtime.
