Assistant Director of Creative Media / Football

About the role

The Assistant Director of Creative Media / Football collaborates in the creation of unique content and branding for the Virginia Tech Football program. This role partners in creating high-impact recruiting visuals and dynamic social media content designed to engage prospective student-athletes and elevate the Virginia Tech Football brand. They also help execute a strategic communication plan that enhances recruiting efforts and strengthens the Football program’s digital presence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the creation of unique content and branding for the Virginia Tech Football program.
• Create high-impact recruiting visuals and dynamic social media content.
• Partner in organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
• Supervise and train creative media student interns.
• Manage day-to-day creative materials and ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
• Organize and execute video production using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations relative to recruiting materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience, or a master's degree.
• Experience with Adobe products including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Previous experience working directly in a recruiting department and managing day-to-day creative materials.
• Experience organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
• Working knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.

Qualifications

• Appropriate knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations pertaining to recruiting & social media.

Skills

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
