About the role
The Assistant Director of Clinical Education position at Clarke University is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Clinical Education in coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum and teach assigned courses. Responsibilities also include student advising, serving on University committees as appropriate, and scholarly production.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Clinical Education in coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum
- Teach assigned courses based on departmental need and candidate expertise
- Be responsible for student advising
- Serve on University committees as appropriate
- Engage in scholarly production in alignment with standards outlined by CAPTE
Requirements
- Earned terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., EdD., DSc, or equivalent) or be actively enrolled in a doctoral program of study in physical therapy or a related field
- Clinical doctorate (DPT) with a desire to pursue a terminal academic doctoral program of study will be considered
- Eligible for PT licensure in Iowa
- At least 3 years of clinical physical therapy practice, with preferred experience as a Site Coordinator for Clinical Education (SCCE) or Clinical Instructor (CI)
