Essential Job Functions
- Affords assistance in managing student dining centers and retail operations to ensure high-quality dining services for students and other university members.
- Initiates and oversees cash-related operations to foster increased sales and customer loyalty.
- Administers departmental software systems and maintains compliance with university standards.
- Maintains sanitation and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance.
- Manages requisitions, purchases, and storage of food, supplies, and equipment for dining services.
- Distributes catering assignments and monitors the quality of service provided.
- Solves guest concerns and prepares reports for university administration.
- Prepares and monitors department budgets, and assists with financial planning.
- Supervises and develops department staff, focusing on professional growth and performance management.
- Supervises and manages student employees, supporting their academic and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in food service management or related fields, with a moderate amount of experience preferred.
- Food safety manager certification from an approved organization.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
