About the role
The Assistant Director of Budgets & Reimbursement plays a key role in supporting the financial performance of our skilled nursing and healthcare operations. This position oversees budgeting, reimbursement, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting while partnering with corporate and facility leadership to drive informed financial decision-making and support the organization's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting at a number of locations
- Managing/coordinating all third-party reimbursement functions
- Work with Accounting firms to coordinate the process of preparing and submitting annual Medicare, Medicaid and State statistical reports
- Collaborate with corporate and facility staff with respect to developing annual operating and capital budgets
- Conduct performance reviews of financial results, compared to budgeted expectations
- Work with State officials/delegates related to Medicaid/Medicare cost report audits, third party rate reviews and appeals
- Manage/coordinate Certificate of Need process, related to capital projects
- Perform all qualitative/quantitative analysis, as needed, related to capital acquisitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5–10 years of accounting experience in Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing, Hospital, or Home Care preferred
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, nursing home cost reporting, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with general ledger/accounting systems; Workday experience a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Pay
Up to USD $170,000.00/Yr.
