About the role
The Assistant Director of Athletics and Student Engagement supports the growth of the athletics department and student activities on campus.
Responsibilities
- Assists the college athletics program to achieve the parallel goals of developing quality, competitive athletics teams and supporting the individual educational goals of student-athletes.
- Assist with on-campus SGA and Student Activities.
- Home game management.
- Special Assignments may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Requirements
- Education, training, and/or work experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Strong computer and technical skills to support high utilization of various college systems, institutional and national databases, NJCAA and NCAA portals and resources, and other technology-based tools and subscriptions.
- Proficient in managing, supervising, and evaluating sport programs.
- Proficient in managing initiatives in Academic Student Services, NCAA compliance, Gender Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and overall student-athlete well-being.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and NJCAA rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- Required travel as needed to games and college sites.

Pay
- Pay range: $50,000 - 60,000.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm schedule, with some evening or weekend hours required based on needs.
