Assistant Director of Admissions
Position Overview
Manage a territory, including all recruiting and yield activities, within designated geographic areas. Manage the recruitment calendar, in consultation with the Associate Director of Recruitment. Articulate admissions policies and procedures to students, parents and counselors. Participate in University undergraduate admission recruitment activities, including college day/night programs, individual visits to post-secondary institutions, alumni meetings, and campus tour visitations. Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and training for admission counselors alongside the Associate Director of Recruitment. Provide leadership and direction to the freshmen admissions team, in the absence of the Associate Director of Recruitment.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The primary function of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to identify, attract, and enroll first year and transfer students with outstanding academic ability and potential.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Two or more years experience in Admissions or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field is preferred.
- Other preferred skills include advanced proficiency/knowledge of data analysis and CRMs, excellent oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.
Required License or Certification
- Valid driver’s license
