Assistant Director of Academic Advising
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, developmental, appreciative academic advising to 200-250 current and prospective undergraduate students with specific emphasis on first-year and at-risk students.
- Collaborates with Faculty Advisors, Academic Departments, Career Development, Care and Support, Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Life, Thrive, and other offices across Xavier University.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree required in Higher Education, College Counseling, or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate communication skills, analytical skills, project/process management skills, computer/technical skills, and office administrative support skills
About the Role
Xavier University’s Office of Academic Advising and Learning Support (OALS) is seeking an Assistant Director of Academic Advising with specific focus on first-year and at-risk student population. This position serves as a professional academic advisor and collaborates with faculty to help students meet their academic and co-curricular goals.
