Assistant Director – Human Resources Richland Community College is accepting applications for an Assistant Director – Human Resources. Position SummaryThe Assistant Director – Human Resources will work closely with the Executive Director of Human Resources and will have primary responsibility for several key HR functions, including employee relations, disciplinary matters, benefit administration, performance management, FMLA and ADA requests and accommodations, job description management, and training and development for faculty and staff. The Assistant Director will serve as a trusted HR resource to employees, supervisors, and College leadership, providing guidance on workplace matters while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and employment laws. Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThis position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively navigate sensitive employee relations and workplace matters. Strong conflict resolution, mediation, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills are required, along with a high level of attention to detail.The successful candidate must have knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).Computer skills are essential, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and the ability to effectively utilize HR databases and information systems.
