About the Role
Assist with the development and execution of full-scale video productions for game streams, telecasts, big-board productions and other live event broadcasts as well as on-demand content to be distributed on the department's website, social media channels or shared with external media outlets for transmission. Independently lead and execute live broadcasts for select sporting events. Assist with production of additional content, including the UTEP athletics podcast, press conferences and Coaches Show.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain working operational knowledge of all equipment in the UTEP production infrastructure
- Operate production systems as needed, including live switching, replay, graphics and audio
- Serve as the on-site production lead in the AD's absence
- Collaborate closely with the conference office on all video requests, expectations and requirements, including successfully fulfilling streaming obligations
- Assist with various styles of video content including highlights, VODs, production b-roll, and additional short-form content
- Maintain working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software
- Maintain UTEP athletics brand guidelines and logo usage
- Collaborate with other colleagues on creative projects that drive brand awareness, revenue generation, etc.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two years working in a college athletics video department or similar setting
- Proficiency in capturing, editing and producing video content
- Experience working in a broadcast crew and serving in various roles as well as operating all associated equipment and software
- Experience with Adobe Suite, including Premier, After Effects and Photoshop
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, teammates and individuals requesting content
- Working knowledge of the NCAA rules, guidelines, and principles
- A portfolio of work that represents a diverse skill set
- Exceptional creativity and attention to detail
- Comfortable working on multiple projects at one time with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic and strict attention to detail
- Complies with all State and University policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and application of athletics knowledge to live production environments
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
- Hands-on experience with Ross Video production systems, including the Carbonite Ultra system and Ross Dashboard
- Familiarity with Newtek products (TriCaster, 3Play)
- Working knowledge of Yamaha and/or Behringer digital audio consoles
- Experience with Dante audio networking and IP audio routing
- Experience operating and/or configuring Ross Xpression graphics systems
- Familiarity/experience with Evertz Dreamcatcher replay systems
- Working knowledge/experience with video fiber transport systems
Pay & Schedule
- Salary: $55,000 Annually
- Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Flexibility is required on evenings and weekends
