ASSISTANT DIRECTOR DINING SERVICES - University of Texas- ARLINGTON, TX

Location: On Campus Dining – University of Texas at Arlington, TX
Salary: $55,000–58,000

About the Role

Chartwells Higher Education is hiring an Assistant Dining Director to help lead the day-to-day food service operations of a residential dining hall at UTA. In this salaried leadership role, you will manage and develop a team of associates, oversee talent development, manage client relationships, and support financial goals in an assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dining Director with daily food service operations on campus
• Maximize sales levels and profitability
• Manage controllable costs including food, labor, and supplies
• Complete weekly purchase summary reports, including estimated purchases at each period end
• Hire, orient, train, and develop qualified staff
• Complete yearly staff performance appraisals
• Promote skills training and development for all employees
• Maintain excellent client relationships
• Manage, train, and develop associates
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Financial experience and business acumen
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet

Qualifications

Associate’s degree is preferred.
