Job Summary

FRESH IDEAS is hiring an energetic and growth-minded Assistant Director of Dining Services on the beautiful campus of GREENVILLE UNIVERSITY. The ADDS is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial food service operations leader who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business. This key leadership position is responsible for assisting with the successful operation of Dining Services on campus. The Assistant Director ensures the client and students have an amazing food service experience. The ADDS is responsible for foodservice-related activities; including exceptional quality, innovative ideas, sanitation, infection control, and client-related activities.

The position is located in Greenville, Illinois, which offers a quiet, close-knit small-town feel with community-focused living, affordability, and access to nature. Greenville provides a blend of rural charm with convenient local amenities and proximity to St. Louis for bigger city access. The local dining scene includes traditional American diners and family-owned specialty spots. The Bond County Farmers Market generally holds on Saturdays from May through October.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with the culinary and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food.
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
• Manages, trains, and develops associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
