Assistant Director

About the role

As Assistant Director at Only About Children’s Hampton campus, you will support the Campus Director and Educational Leader in creating a positive, nurturing, and high‑performing environment for children, families, and educators. The role focuses on mentorship, safety, engagement, and embedding best practice aligned with the NQF and The OAC Way.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor educators to grow and succeed.
• Ensure every child’s day is safe, engaging, and full of learning.
• Build warm, trusted relationships with families.
• Embed best practice in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and The OAC Way.
• Inspire a culture of collaboration, creativity, and care.

Requirements

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care (or higher).
• 2–3+ years of leadership experience in an early learning setting.
• Strong knowledge of the NQF, EYLF & CSS.
• Supportive and proactive leadership style.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and mentoring skills.
• Full‑time, can‑do attitude and genuine passion for early education.
• Current Working with Children Check (required before employment).
• Completion of the Gecko National Child Safety Certificate prior to commencing employment.
