Assistant Director, Application Development

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, providing day-to-day guidance and career development
• Remain actively hands-on in the codebase, contributing to design and development alongside the team
• Oversee application development projects, including work supporting OneShield initiatives
• Support team members in picking up Java where needed for OneShield-related work
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of professional experience in application development, with prior people-management experience
• Strong background in C#/.NET strongly preferred; Java experience also welcome
• Willingness and ability to learn Java for OneShield-related work as needed
• Proven experience managing and leading a development team
• Strong interpersonal skills with a personable, outgoing demeanor
• Ability to thrive in and contribute to a strong team culture
