About the role
This position reports directly to the Director of Family Engagement and Giving and collaborates with the Senior Director of Alumnae/i Engagement as well as the Associate Director of Reunion Giving.
Responsibilities
- Translate student and young alumnae/i engagement into philanthropic support.
- Prioritize in-person donor visits and annual fund solicitations.
- Build a sustainable pipeline of engaged and giving alumnae/i.
- Imaginatively lead the senior class gift initiative, connecting student experiences to long-term giving.
- Serve as a gift officer, managing the One-Year Alum Mentorship Program, Reunion Year One fundraising, and 5th & 10th reunion fundraising and planning efforts.
- Oversee student engagement initiatives to cultivate future involvement and educate students and young alumnae/i on the impact of philanthropic support.
- Collaborate with various offices and campus partners to lead student engagement.
- Hire, train, and manage Student Workers to assist with ARD office tasks and promote student engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to accept new responsibilities and seek out projects.
- Proactive, relationship-driven self-starter with a focus on broad-based participation and meaningful connections with young alumnae/i.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with fundraising software, social media platforms, and video/design software is helpful.
- A college degree and experience in working with students, fundraising, higher education, or non-profit is preferred.
