Primary job responsibilities
Affordable housing development activities will be coordinated, implemented, and managed throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation and updates of project proformas
- Assist with funding applications to local, state, and federal agencies
- Participate in closing processes, including organizing and facilitating the distribution of due diligence and signature packages, managing closing draws and draft settlement statements/closing draws
- Work with the project manager/construction/accounting team to prepare construction draw documentation and monitor construction schedules
- Initiate and manage third-party reports, such as appraisals, market studies, and environmental assessments
- Occasionally travel for site meetings, construction draw meetings, trainings, and conferences (travel may be local or out-of-state and may require overnight stays)
- Provide support to multiple development managers on any requested information regarding projects
Requirements
- High degree of independence, motivation, and accountability
- Able to work with time-sensitive material and meet multiple deadlines
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
- A high capacity to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a team and juggle multiple tasks
- Skilled with MS Office Suite
- Detail-oriented tasks are critical to a business' long-term success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience in real estate development, with exposure to private and public debt financing
- An entry-level Assistant Project Manager may also be considered, depending on education
- Experience with low-income housing tax credit is a plus
