Assistant Designer

We are seeking a talented and creative Assistant Designer who shares our love for all things beach and fashion-related. This is a hybrid role located in Newport Beach, CA and requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to support day-to-day tasks, including assisting in the creation of design concepts and technical sketches.
• Maintain and update line sheets, ensuring all product information and design details are accurately recorded.
• Develop captivating colorways for prints and patterns in collaboration with the design team.
• Conduct thorough market research to stay at the forefront of global and domestic fashion trends.
• Participate in design inspiration meetings, contributing ideas to the creative direction of collections.
• Assist the Head Designer in designing the apparel line, helping shape the latest trends and styles.
• Play a role in the fitting process to ensure designs achieve the perfect fit and meet quality standards.
• Manage and organize the fabric library for easy access to diverse materials.
• Accompany the designer on local shopping trips to source new and exciting silhouettes.

Qualifications

• Strong hand sketching skills.
• Sewing and construction knowledge.

• Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
