OVERVIEWALO Assistant Designer is an all-star position that is very important to the team. This person is the glue that helps keep all product and information together. This person is passionate, detail oriented, a self-starter and a forward-thinker.RESPONSIBILITIES Support Designer on daily tasks in the design process, this includes the following: Ideation – deep dive research online and in-person market researchSketch – create and update CADs in development processDevelopment – assist in launching, developing, and tracking trim, fabric, prints and stylesPLM/BOM – complete PLM/BOMs with accuracyDocument and take detailed notes in cross functional weekly meetings and Milestone meetingsOrganize and track inspo samples, vendor samples, and development samplesFittings – attend fitting and take detailed notes to ensure fit, construction, and materials accuracy in each stage of prototypeSet up vendor appointments as neededCreate and fulfill gifting packagesCreate shipping labels and ship packages as needed for internal teamCreate and organize fabric and trim binders seasonallyBuild and maintain Designer’s lineplan/ 1-pager seasonallyAssist weekly proto reviews by gathering and prepping samplesAssist in creating seasonal concept boards for presentations/ milestone meetingsAdhere to design calendar deadlines and timelines, ensure all tasks are completely in a timely mannerQUALIFICATIONSBA degree in Fashion Design preferred0-2 years of industry experience in fashion designProficient in Adobe suites: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesignProficient in CAD skillsKnowledge in CLO3D is a plusKnowledge in PLM systemsKnowledge in Microsoft Excel, WordKnowledge in performance fabrication, trimsThe base salary range for this position is $70,000-$72,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees.
