About the role
This position is assigned to the Court's Law Research Department, where you will assist the Chief Appellate Court Attorney with supervision of appellate court attorneys, administration, and development of departmental procedures.
Responsibilities
- Edit preliminary reports and other internal court documents.
- Research complex legal issues and draft court memoranda.
- Assist with annual recruiting of appellate court attorneys.
- Support onboarding and training of new clerks.
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Deputy Clerk or Clerk of the Court.
Requirements
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- One year of service in the Principal Appellate Court Attorney title or equivalent legal experience.
Pay
Base salary: $137,325
