Assistant Department Manager (Tile)
About the role
This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.
Responsibilities
- Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
- Demonstrate safe lifting practices and company retail philosophy
- Provide direction to Product Sales Specialists for high-quality customer service
- Complete certification courses and demonstrate knowledge of merchandise and installation
- Communicate standard operating procedures and inventory needs
- Pass industrial truck proficiency testing and certification
- Stock and tag merchandise displays
- Greet and assist customers, answer the phone, process transactions, and maintain displays
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and compliance with safe lifting practices and company policies
- Knowledge of merchandise and installation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed

Store hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Pickup hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
