About the role
This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.
Responsibilities
- Act and work in a manner consistent with company’s core values
- Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company’s policies
- Drive and teach retail philosophy focusing on People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, and Purchasing
- Direct and assist in processing merchandise to the showroom floor
- Validate product placement and pricing within the department
- Greet every customer and assist with product questions and selections
- Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
- Present ‘how-to’ classes to customers
- Follow cash, check, and charge card acceptance procedures
- Stock and tag merchandise displays as required
- Communicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates
- Complete industrial truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification
- Communicate inventory needs to management
- Answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and compliance with company’s safe lifting practices standard operating procedures
- Thorough understanding of merchandise and installation
- Thorough understanding of the department’s merchandising, pricing, and organization
- Completion of all product specialist certification courses
- Communication of standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates in a timely manner
- Completion of Industrial Truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification
- Knowledge of inventory needs and communication to management
- Ability to follow cash, check, and charge card acceptance procedures
- Ability to stock and tag merchandise displays as required
- Ability to present ‘how-to’ classes to customers
- Ability to answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines

Pay Range: $18.49 - $27.31
Schedule
Store Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
