Assistant Cross Country Coach
Job Description
This position involves working with current coaching staff and student-athletes at Talent Middle School. Key responsibilities include supporting and supervising student-athletes at functions, offering training suggestions with the head coach, recruiting participants, and instructing student-athletes about rules, regulations, and training guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching track or cross country preferred.
- Experience as a runner at the high school level or higher.
- Adheres to Phoenix-Talent Schools' sports philosophy.
- Maintains coaching certification requirements: FA/CPR, Concussion Training, Anabolic Steroid, blood-borne pathogen, etc.
- Meets required driver's training for activity van usage.
- Demonstrates a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
- Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches.
Prioritization Factors
- Preference may be given to candidates holding a valid Oregon teaching license.
- Preference may be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
