Assistant Corrosion Project Manager
About the role
The Assistant Corrosion Project Manager will coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s life cycle, responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project, conduct analyses to develop chemical or process related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for field work and compile field data
- Write reports and technical memorandums
- Perform assessments on pipelines and concrete structures
- Enter confined spaces, work near traffic, and work in wastewater structures
- Frequently travel nationally for field work
- Receive classroom and hands-on training for fieldwork safety
- Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule
- Work with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
- Conduct analyses to develop chemical or process related design options or recommendations
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
- Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- A solid understanding of corrosion mechanisms and materials science
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5 years related experience
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience in project execution within the Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Food and Beverage and/or Industrial Markets
- Preferred: Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Chemical / Process design software

- MS Office and MS Project experience

Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
