Assistant Controller - Private Credit Funds

Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist independent audit firms with annual audits of private credit funds.
- Work with fund tax advisors on tax reporting.
- Manage investor requests, due diligence packages, and fundraising requests in collaboration with Investor Relations.
- Collaborate with the Investment Team and large banks to manage Joint Venture activities, including deal fundings.
- Review, approve, and execute fee and expense payments for reimbursement to the management company.
- Cook up and review items prepared by third-party administrators, including capital call calculations, NAV packages, and investor communications.
- Cover, review, approve, and reconcile positions, cash, and P&L as part of the NAV process.
- Calculate fees for separately managed accounts and invoice clients according to IMAs.
- Participate in firm-specific projects and initiatives supporting private fund and SMA functions.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in the workforce.
- Previous experience in audit/public accounting and/or hands-on private credit fund accounting.
- CPA preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Organized and capable of learning in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to take initiative and work across multiple groups.
