About the Role

The Assistant Controller partners with the Controller to lead the Company's accounting operations and support the continued development of a scalable, accurate, and well-controlled finance function. This role combines hands-on ownership of the monthly close process, financial reporting, technical accounting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls with responsibility for team development, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. As a key partner and backup to the Controller, the Assistant Controller provides financial insights, recommendations, and operational support to the Controller and Chief Financial Officer to enable sound decision-making and sustainable organizational growth. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound professional judgment, and a collaborative, service-oriented approach. They are passionate about continuous improvement and leverage technology, automation, and appropriately governed artificial intelligence tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, transparency, and team capacity while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring assigned activities are completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, consolidations, and financial statement workpapers
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, variance analyses, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting
• Manage financial audit and tax planning and compliance for a multi-state organization
• Research and evaluate technical accounting matters and complex or nonroutine transactions under U.S. GAAP,
