Responsibilities
- Reconcile Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger.
- Review the work prepared by the Staff Accountant(s).
- Perform Bank reconciliations.
- Maintain the General Ledger for a portfolio of rental properties.
- Prepare the monthly analytical review of the financial statements.
- Prepare monthly Financial Statements for a portfolio of rental properties.
- Prepare Cash Flow analyses.
- Auxiliary with special projects as assigned.
- Assist the Controller with supervisory duties on behalf of the company, including hiring, suspending, discharging, assigning/directing work, providing direction, disciplining and coaching, communicating company information and changes, and modeling corporate values.
Requirements
- Must possess strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities.
- Must possess strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Accounting software.
- Ability to work under little supervision and still prioritize tasks.
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with all employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions expeditiously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Experience with multi-family housing software a plus
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
Skills
- Strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Accounting software
