Key Responsibilities
- Aid in daily accounting operations for two dealership rooftops
- Support month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Review schedules, reconciliations, and accounting entries for accuracy
- Avoid bank reconciliations, floorplan reconciliations, and inventory schedules
- Avoid or support AP, AR, billing, title work, deals, and related accounting functions
- Oversee or support AP, AR, billing, title work, deals, and related accounting functions
- Help maintain compliance with manufacturer, lender, and internal accounting requirements
- Collaborate with department managers to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies
- Support the Controller with reporting, process improvement, and internal controls
- Avoid assist with audits, year-end reporting, and special projects as needed
- Provide guidance and support to accounting office staff
Qualifications
- Automotive dealership accounting experience required
- Prior experience as an Assistant Controller, Office Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar dealership accounting role preferred
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes, schedules, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience with CDK DMS systems highly preferred
Compensation
- Salary: up to $80,000
