Assistant Control Room Operator

About The Role

The Assistant Control Room Operator leads and directs employees, under general supervision, and stands watch and operates the facility. Must possess a Massachusetts Third Class Engineers License* pursuant chapter 146 of the M.G.L.

• Monitors the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis in the field.
• Responds to alarms as directed by Control Room Operator and takes appropriate corrective actions.
• Aids in executing plant shutdown and start-up procedures.
• Aids in the plant meeting generating requirements while operating in a safe, environmentally efficient, and productive manner.
• Writes permits and tests confined spaces.
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Massachusetts Third Class Engineers License* pursuant chapter 146 of the M.G.L.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training preferred
