Assistant Construction Manager - Multi-Family

About the role
The Assistant Project Manager works within the Project Management Team, which is responsible for planning and overseeing the project to ensure a timely and cost-effective outcome. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the project. The role ensures the project is constructed in a safe, ethical manner and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Assistant Project Manager will be involved in.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Drawings and Specifications with Trades
- Prepare RFI and Submittals
- Prepare Procurement Log to manage and schedule long lead items
- Coordinate meetings with Trades, Clients, Governing Agencies, and Inspectors
- Manage Trade and Owner Change Orders
- Schedule work as necessary to meet schedule
- Manage costs for varying scopes of work
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years prior relevant experience overseeing projects such as roads, bridges, dams, water/wastewater treatment plants, etc.
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution
- 1-year or more of direct supervisory experience
- Experience with project manager software (Procore, P6, Timberline, etc.)
- Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s)

Pay
The base compensation for the Assistant Project Manager is between $120,000 and $150,000.
