Primary Responsibilities
- Affirms daily, weekly, and monthly reports including accurate reporting on resident ledgers.
- Handles rent posting, collection on delinquencies, eviction process, and final accounting statements after residents move out.
- Secures and manages lease renewals and prepares new lease paperwork for final approval.
- Physically inspects the community daily, addressing issues and ensuring property conditions meet company standards.
- Assists with hiring and training of new staff members.
- Maintains resident satisfaction through various communication methods and surveys.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of area competitors.
- Oversees property operations and staff when the Community Manager is not on site.
- Assists with leasing duties, including showing prospective residents and preparing lease agreements as needed.
- Assists with hosting resident appreciation events.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Yardi products.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to handle clients, vendors, and co-workers effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and ask for further clarification when necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience as an assistant manager.
- 3 years’ experience in property management.
- Fair Housing training.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Bookkeeping/account reconciliation experience.
- Property management experience with focus on lease-up and mixed-use communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Benefits
