Assistant Community Manager

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Aid in directing and supervision of maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping
  • Aid Manager in inspecting the physical exterior and make recommendations for necessary repairs
  • Create and maintain a company direction that fosters loyalty, team spirit, and unity among all employees
  • Supervise any leasing activities
  • Maintain a current knowledge of the local market and competition
  • Periodically report to Manager after visiting surrounding competitors
  • Complete or oversee the completion and accuracy of weekly activity reports
  • Complete or oversee the completion and accuracy of all rental applications and recording of all rental and leasing activities
  • Aid Manager in training of any on-site leasing personnel
  • Aid Community Manager in the reporting, assigning, and recording of all resident activities
  • Assist Manager in handling resident requests and communicating with them
  • Collect, receipt, and record all collections
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of all month-end reports on income and leases
  • Daily record and report all bank transactions
  • Handle delinquent accounts and ensure eviction process is completed under Manager's direction

Education And Work Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college education preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of property management experience or equivalent business experience
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill And Ability

  • Ability to interact with other employees and residents, and demonstrate good communication skills
  • Ability to take directions and corrections from supervisors and improve from such
  • Strong accounting and budgeting skills
  • Ability to understand and develop interest in the local market and competition
  • Ability to assume Manager responsibilities in absence of Manager and demonstrate working knowledge of all Manager duties
  • Professional appearance and flexibility to work on the property with other employees, residents, and prospective clients
  • Ability to multitask

Pay Range

Pay Range: $14.00 - $15.00
