About the role
The Assistant Community Manager oversees the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. Key responsibilities include managing financial processes, personnel, leasing, maintenance, administrative tasks, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Post all payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
- Process and reconcile daily account receivables.
- Monitor and follow up on bad debt, prepare late notices, contact residents and guarantors, and file evictions.
- Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
- Post all charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
- Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accuracy.
- Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.
- Screens, hires, trains, coaches, and develops onsite staff.
- Ensures staff effectiveness through training, coaching, counseling, and guidance.
- Promotes harmony and quality job performance of staff.
- Ensures staff compliance and consistency with Company policies and procedures.
- Manages strategic leasing techniques, implements marketing strategies, deals with resident complaints, and develops resident retention programs.
- Shows, leases, and moves in prospective residents.
- Manages customer service, monitors service request turnaround, and ensures timely completion of repairs.
- Operates machinery and power tools, operates motor vehicles and/or golf carts, identifies and inspects objects, lifts and places objects up to 25 lbs., and adjusts or moves objects in all directions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements

Education/Experience

Pay
$22 per hour to $23 per hour.
