About the role

The Assistant Community Manager oversees the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. Key responsibilities include managing financial aspects, personnel, leasing, maintenance, administrative tasks, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Post all payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
  • Process and reconcile daily account receivables.
  • Monitor and follow up on bad debts, prepare late notices, contact residents and guarantors, and file evictions.
  • Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
  • Post all charges to resident and non-resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accuracy.
  • Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.
  • Screens, hires, trains, coaches, and develops onsite staff.
  • Ensures staff compliance and consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Leads staff in obtaining closure, following up on complaints, and implementing resident retention programs.
  • Shows, leases, and moves in prospective residents.
  • Manages customer service and monitors maintenance staff performance.
  • Plans and utilizes property resources, equipment, and supplies economically.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Pay

$22 per hour to $24 per hour.
