Assistant Community Manager (Affordable Housing)

Essential Duties

  • Affordability: Assist with the management of the affordable housing recertification process and compliance
  • Building Relationships: Maintain property waiting list, build positive relationships with prospective and current tenants
  • Data Management: Coordinate on-site data collections and processing of resident information, schedule resident recertification interviews and apartment inspections
  • Compliance and Investigations: Ensure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, investigate and help resolve complaints, disturbances and violations
  • File Maintenance: Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy
  • Property Operations: Assist with task associated with the operation of the property: leasing, rent collections, resident services and maintenance

Job Requirements

  • Previous Property Management Experience
  • COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist)
  • Section 8 Property Experience
  • Recertification and Compliance Knowledge
  • Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") Rules and Regulations
  • Rent Collections and Financial Procedures
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Accounts Receivable and Collections Experience
  • Attention to Detail and Independent Work Ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic Internet Knowledge

Physical Demands

  • Physical Access: Capable of accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities
  • Lifting: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Range: Starting at $23.50 per hour for a new employee, dependent on relevant factors
  • Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation for full-time positions (30+ hours/week)
  • Holidays: 11 paid holidays
  • Benefits: Health & welfare benefits as outlined on the Company’s website
