Assistant Commerical/Store Manager

About the role

Assist the manager and store associates to achieve sales objectives and maintain the facility. Develop general store management and operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a "customer first" mentality and assist the manager in leading store activities to achieve business plan objectives.
• Assist in merchandising to approved plan-o-grams and ensure shelf price labeling and store objectives are met.
• Achieve inventory turn objectives and implement product changeovers while maintaining system inventory data integrity.
• Prepare the store for daily opening and closing, stock inventory, and perform general housekeeping duties.
• Assist in achieving commercial sales initiatives, practice add-on selling and upselling, and operate the computer for sales transactions.
• Perform battery installations, tests, and technical work; load, drive, and make deliveries.
• Assist with selection and training of store associates, and perform supervisory duties in the manager's absence.
• Delegate tasks, validate completion, and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Function as a leader and team player, contributing to the growth and development of the team through training, communication, recognition, and support.

Requirements

• Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent and at least one year of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas and understand directions using both oral and written means.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction as a resourceful, independent problem solver.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
• Awareness of store operations in the manager's absence.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Pay

$28,000 plus salary.
