About the role

The ESPI (EPIC Specialty Programs Insurance) Programs Division delivers specialized insurance solutions through program management, risk assessment, and customized coverage. Our team works closely with clients to understand their needs, mitigate risk, and enhance their insurance portfolios, leveraging strong insurer relationships and deep industry expertise. The book consists of middle-market to large, complex accounts, primarily in the auto dealership or golf industries.

The Commercial Insurance - Assistant Client Manager is a junior-level role that takes on meaningful, technical tasks for the client management team. In this fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, this role provides essential administrative support to the Client Managers.

Location: Hybrid in Reno, NV – Role must work in-office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Client Managers in the ESPI Programs Division to efficiently and effectively service clients.
  • Establishes and maintains high levels of trust and confidence with clients through periodic contacts and by promptly resolving client questions and issues.
  • Processes Certificates of Insurance, endorsements, order loss runs, and other items related to servicing client accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Informs and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs; assists clients in making coverage changes.
  • Meets all quality and timeliness standards in the Agency Management System while properly documenting all activity.
  • Submits applications with proper supporting documentation and follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with a variety of carrier online systems, including BHHC, ICW, SCIF, and AMTrust.
  • Provides technical support in the sales process as needed.
  • Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of all responsibilities.
  • Maintains cordial and effective relations with clients, co-workers, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Maintains documentation and records.
  • Stays informed regarding industry information, new product/program developments, coverages, legislation, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of insurance industry experience, specifically in property & casualty.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and data entry skills.
  • Strong professional communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Positive and outgoing disposition; ability to work well both in a team and independently.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; one or four years of college or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of multi-line Property & Casualty insurance products and services.
  • Experience with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
  • Sagitta Agency Management System and/or PaperWise software experience a plus; experience with paperless procedures preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Valid Property & Casualty Insurance license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Pay

This is a non-exempt, hourly role with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses.
