Assistant Coach, Womens Lacrosse
Job Summary
The Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse position supports the Head Coach in the overall development and advancement of the program. Key responsibilities include providing individual instruction and skill development, serving as an on-court assistant coach, conducting off-campus recruitment visits, assisting with marketing, events, and camps, and guiding the work of student employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual instruction and skill development and training to student-athletes to provide individual growth and development of skills and lacrosse knowledge.
- Serve as on-court assistant coach during practices and games.
- Use video for individual student-athlete analysis and development, scouting of opponents and game plan development.
- Identify, evaluate and attract talented student athletes that can be successful at Marquette.
- Assist Head Coach with duties as directed including with marketing, events and camps.
- Schedule practices, team travel and team events.
- Cooperate with academic advisers to support the academic progress of the student-athlete.
- Guides the work of student employees, interns, and volunteers.
- Responsible for own P-card transactions and expense reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience and 3 years of playing lacrosse required
- Preferred: Previous experience playing or working in Division 1 lacrosse and playing professional
