Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer

About the role

Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) is seeking an Assistant Coach to join the dynamic Women’s Soccer program. The position supports the mission of Sailfish Athletics to compete at the highest level while preparing students to be lifelong leaders and outstanding citizens.

Responsibilities

• Recruit academically, athletically, and mission-fit student-athletes
• Advises student-athletes to ensure progress toward degree completion and eligibility standards are met
• Teaches and coaches during practices and competitions
• Aids in scheduling management and contributes to individual and team development
• Mentors student-athletes in personal and spiritual growth
• Fosters a team culture emphasizing self-discipline, respect, and teamwork
• Assists with a variety of administrative tasks as assigned
• Represents the University at SSC and national meetings as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Certification in First Aid and CPR required
• 3+ years’ experience in collegiate sports required

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel 50% of the time
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work non-routine hours regularly during the academic year
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to traverse campus and stairs
