About the Department

The Department of Athletics at Indiana Tech is integral to the university’s mission, providing quality programs that are competitive, fun, and meaningful while promoting fair play, sportsmanship, and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, development, and administration of aspects of the women’s ice hockey program.
  • Implement team policies aligned with the institution’s philosophy.
  • Recruit and retain student-athletes.
  • Provide academic oversight of student-athletes.
  • Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics as assigned.
  • Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech.
  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and executing on-ice sessions and player development.
  • Contribute to game-day strategies, execution, film breakdown, and scouting.
  • Oversee equipment and gear maintenance and arrangements.
  • Develop fundraising strategies.
  • Coordinate travel logistics for road contests and other needs.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of coaching experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Physical work and travel are required.
  • Nights and weekends required.
  • Overtime hours required in season.
  • Work is normally performed in the ice rink or athletic field setting.
