Assistant Coach – Soccer (Boys) - Lee's Summit West HS

Description

The assistant coach is responsible for assisting with planning, managing and directing the high school Soccer team program. Specific duties include:

• Assistant Coaching the Soccer team.
• Assist with managing all aspects of the program including practicing, competing, providing off-season improvement opportunities to include strength and conditioning and full usage of contact days.
• Marketing and promoting the Soccer program.
• Assistant Coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes.
• Scouting opponents.
• Aid in managing a fiscally sound budget.
• Aid in monitoring class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress, and intervening where appropriate.
• Responsible for Soccer student-athlete retention.
• Articulation with the feeder middle school program.
• Provide summer camp opportunities for elementary and/or middle school students.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Experience coaching soccer at the high school level.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
• Knowledge of player development and sports psychology.
