ASSISTANT COACH - MEN'S TENNIS

About the Role

Assist the sports head coach with teaching, guiding, coaching, and evaluating student athletes in UAB sports programs. Instruct student athletes in proper techniques and decision-making to achieve desired outcomes while adhering to all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach student athletes in sport-specific skills and strategies.
• Evaluate student athlete performance and provide feedback.
• Assist with seasonal student recruiting efforts as needed.
• Perform routine daily responsibilities related to sports office operations, including computer data entry, record keeping, and compliance logs required by the NCAA.
• Report all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference, and NCAA policies.
• Assist with team travel and other duties assigned by the head coach related to seasonal program operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two (2) years of related experience.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.

Primary Location: University. This is an onsite role with a day/1st shift schedule.
